A Very Special Guest Blog.

My close friend Brooke is a huge Crimson Tide fan, and actually graduated from the University of Alabama. Today Garnet is the New Blog brings you her thoughts on the Mike Shula firing. Enjoy!

A Letter to Alabama Alumni

Dear Stupid Retards of the Board of Trustees Who Control Alabama Football, Mal Moore, the All-Important Persons of the Athletic Decision-Making Team, and president Robert Witt,

You are stupid. You have made the worst decision since secretly ousting Gene Stallings (yeah, some of us know about that one).

As you sit there, congratulating yourself of "Bettering the Program", let me point out some things to you.

1) You fired a coach with a winning record.
2) You fired a coach before the bowl game he won you - that ought to make them play harder! Come on, that's something that Florida does. Way to go. One step closer to being in the Swamp.
3) You fired a coach that never had a chance of success because of a bunch of other fuck-tard coaches you hired:

Mike DuBose - we couldn't spell Probation without him.
Dennis Franchione - bailed; snuck out like a thief in the night. Awesome Character, that one. Kinda reminds me of you.
Mike Price - ohhhh yeah. Great guy. Loved the booze and women so much he couldn't even start the season with us.
Mike Shula - Alabama quarterback. Quiet family guy. Charismatic. Had no scholarships to recruit with and still managed to take us to bowl games, and finish us in the top ten last year. We get our scholarships back next year. If some coach comes in and leads us to victory, we all know he's playing with Shula's team.

You want wins now. It can't happen. Especially with a program so screwed up as ours. No stability. And then you give us a glimmer of hope by hiring a decent guy. You didn't give him the time.

So what we lost to Auburn and LSU. So what if we lost to Mississippi. We gained a coach worthy of respect. And you want to get rid of those casting a good name on Alabama Football. What? You pissed off we went 5 years without more trouble? Without more probation? What do you want us to be, Miami?

So, in conclusion, this Alabama alumna is highly irritated by your lack of brain power and diagnostics. I am sorry to see you all so controlled by the money the rich Alumni paid you to fire him. Money may talk, but without the support and respect from the students that keep your doors open, and the real reason we have Alabama football, what do you have?

Sleep tight, in that bed of money. Karma's a real bitch, Alabama.

To Mike Shula - I apologize for the lack of faith. I was happy to have to aboard and would have given you another 2 years at least. As long as you beat Tennessee by then.

Thanks, Brooke! Not only are you a true football fan, but you're also quite the hottie. Interested parties can buy Brooke's bikini calendar at:

Very well said.

This is what you get when Boosters get involved with athletics. It almost reminds me of high school. If you look at your list though honestly everything went downhill when Dennis left for Texas A&M, but then again he probably left because he couldn't handle dealing with the boosters as well.

More than likely all of this with UA probably wouldn't have happened if, here we go again, the Boosters kept their mouth shut back in 86. Bowden was ready to leave FSU back then but someone opened their yap and poof...we get 2 National Championships.

Nice comment about Gene Stallings too...I always thought he would have done so much for you guys if he would have stayed longer.

Post more...you did a great job...and your bikini pic is HOT!!

Go screw yourself with that Miami crack. One three year stretch of probation in the last 20, but you and every other high and mighty POS has to take shots, typical.

Oh and Bama deserves every ounce of misery they receive, you can't just buy kids to play on your team. That's like Alabama still working the slave trade. I hope you get Spurrier, you and the evil one deserve each other.

Brookie Dear, ignore the previous commment. We discussed this yesterday, and if me of all people, didn't take offense, then no one else should.

and to Anonymous...
coming from an UM Athletics Employee, stop behaving like that. She didn't mean the comment as you took it. Apparently you don't know Brooke. I am the first person to get upset when someone talks about the Canes in a bad way. But here is the kicker... she wasn't. The comment was on our firing of Larry! Some people will say we made a mistake because he kept us on the straight and narrow. That is their perogative; Brooke was just equating the similarities between the two programs and their recent actions. Other Miami fans have expressed the same opinion; have you ventured over to their webpages/blogs and left derogatory comments?

Take this as a demand/order/directive... not a suggestion: you are not wanted here. Leave and do not return if you cannot act like a civilized person. Also, I just wanted to point out that comments like yours, are what keep the public opinion of the Hurricanes and their fans, in the gutter.

Thank you and have a nice day :)

Thank you, Person With No Name. I love screwing myself - in fact, i do it better than anyone i know most days. And i'll delight in screwing myself over the Miami "crack". Don't be pissed off, sir (or ma'am) because your coach was fired for not recruiting in the jails anymore and actually was putting together a team worthy of winning something - integrety. It's not my fault you don't like that word used in conjunction with your team. i was actually beginning to respect Miami before the firing - i'll be open to the next coach, though.
And Spurrier will never be welcome at Alabama. The Bear would drive him away before he ever got an interview.
And the slave trade comment - well, you go repeat that to anyone of any teams players - see what happens. You're just showing your ignorance with that comment.
Have a lovely day, sir (or ma'am)! I'm off to screw myself! :)
